Terms of service
Last updated [DATE]
The service
QRForge ("we") provides a QR code editor, dynamic short links whose destination can be changed after printing, scan analytics, AI-generated QR art, and 3D scenes. These terms are a contract between you and [LEGAL ENTITY]. By creating an account you accept them and our privacy policy.
Your account
You must be at least 16 and provide a working email address. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials private.
Acceptable use
- Destinations may not point to malware, phishing, or unlawful content. We check destinations against Google Safe Browsing and may pause or delete a code, or an account, that fails.
- Private or internal network addresses are rejected as destinations.
- AI prompts may not request sexual, violent, or otherwise abusive imagery. Blocked prompts count as strikes; three strikes disable AI generation for the account.
- No automated scanning, scraping, or load against the redirect service.
Plans, quotas and billing
Each plan sets limits on dynamic codes, monthly scans, analytics history, and export formats. When a code's owner exceeds 120% of the monthly scan quota, further scans show an interstitial page instead of redirecting until the month resets or the plan is upgraded. Downgrading pauses the oldest dynamic codes above the new limit; nothing is deleted.
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled from Settings. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. AI credits do not expire and are not refundable, except that a credit is automatically returned when a generation fails or scores low on scanability. One-off scene purchases are permanent for the purchasing account.
Printed codes depend on the service
A dynamic code encodes a short link on our domain. It keeps working only while your account is in good standing and the service operates. We give at least 90 days' notice before discontinuing the redirect service. Static codes encode their content directly and do not depend on us.
Content and intellectual property
You keep all rights to content you upload and the designs you make; you grant us the licence needed to store, render, and redirect them. AI-generated images are provided under the terms of the underlying model licence [MODEL LICENCE]. The QRForge software, brand, and templates remain ours.
Availability and disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, that any QR code will scan on every device, or that AI output will be suitable for a particular purpose. [SLA, if any.]
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including reprint costs.
Termination
You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms; paid periods already billed are not refunded in that case.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION]. Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].
