Nobody enjoys spelling a Wi-Fi password across a counter. A Wi-Fi QR code carries the network name, encryption type, and password in the pattern itself — one scan and the phone joins. It works offline, needs no account to scan, and never expires.

In the editor: Pick the Wi-Fi type in the editor and enter your network name, encryption (WPA for almost everyone), and password. This one stays static — the credentials live in the pattern, so there is nothing to redirect.

Settle the password before you print
Wi-Fi codes are static — the credentials are baked into the pattern. If you rotate the password, the print is stale. Pick a password you can live with, then print.
Say what the code does
A bare code gets ignored. Add a frame with the text 'Scan for Wi-Fi' in the editor, and place it where people sit down — at eye level near tables beats behind the register.
Remember the password is readable
Anyone who scans the code can see the credentials, so use it for guest networks only. Keep staff and point-of-sale systems on a separate network.

Does it work on both iPhone and Android?
Yes. iOS and Android both read the standard WIFI: format natively — the camera shows a 'Join network' prompt, no app required.
What happens if I change the Wi-Fi password?
The printed code stops working, because the password is encoded in the pattern itself. Wi-Fi codes cannot be dynamic — plan the password first, then print.
Is my password safe in a QR code?
The password is readable by anyone who scans, so treat the code like a chalkboard with the password on it. Use it for guest networks and keep internal systems elsewhere.
