Instagram QR codes
Print is where new customers physically meet your brand — the bag, the sticker, the poster at the counter. A QR code takes them from that moment straight to your profile without typing a handle. Make it dynamic and the same sticker can later point at a giveaway, a Reel, or a link-in-bio page.
example sticker code — points back at this page, scan it
In the editor: Pick the URL type with your profile link and switch on Dynamic. You'll see which placements actually drive scans — the sticker on the cup or the poster by the door — city by city.
Three tips from the print shop.
Skip the typing, keep the follower
Every step between 'saw the sticker' and 'hit follow' loses people. Link the profile URL directly — instagram.com/yourhandle — so the app opens on your page, not on a search box.
Make it dynamic before the print run
Handles change, campaigns change, platforms fall out of favor. A dynamic code on 5,000 stickers can be repointed in one field; a static one is 5,000 pieces of recycling.
Brand the code, keep the contrast
A gradient in your brand colors makes the code feel like yours — keep the modules dark against a light background and error correction at Q or higher so style never costs scans.
Asked before every print run.
Can the code open the Instagram app directly?
Scanning a profile URL opens it in the browser, and the browser hands off to the Instagram app when it's installed — the standard behavior on both iOS and Android.
What if I rebrand or change my handle?
With a dynamic code, you edit the destination and every printed sticker follows. With a static code, the old URL is baked in — that is the case for making it dynamic before printing.
Can I see how many people scanned?
Dynamic codes count every scan with city, device, and time of day. Print different codes per placement and you'll know whether the cup sticker or the window poster earns its keep.
Also printing for restaurant menus, wi-fi, business cards or events?
Print it once. Point it anywhere.
Design the code in the editor, export it print-ready, and keep the destination in your hands long after the ink dries.
